Orientation is your first exposure to a new career – or new trajectory within it – at MSU. Whether you are moving from faculty to a dean or chair position, or a new academic or administrative staff position, understanding your role at MSU is integral to your success.
We offer orientations through both events and online resources. Both orientation types are valuable in orientating faculty and administrators with tools that ensure success at Michigan State University. Registration information will be found in your invitation letter.
At MSU, orientation for new faculty, academic administrators and academic staff is both a series of events and an ongoing process. We believe that orientation is an indispensable part of the transition to success in a new role. It is both the final stage of the hiring process and the formal start to your integration into the MSU community. We encourage you to take full advantage of these experiences.
2016 Orientations for New Faculty and Academic Staff took place on Tuesday, August 23.
