I. Dr. Stone welcomed the group.
II. The minutes were approved.
III. MSU Retirees Association:
1. MSU is hosting the Big Ten Retirees’ Association. Regional Meeting on August 19 -21.
2. Stone
will represent FEA at Sunday workshop (Aug 21st
3. The Steering Committee was invited to attend the workshop.
4. Deadlines for Spartan Senior Citizen were distributed.
IV. Committee Updates:
A. Lecture/Seminar Series
1. Target Audience: Faculty Emeriti and the MSU Community
2. Lectures will have a variety of speakers from different disciplines.
3. 3-4 lectures for academic year (October-May)
4. All involved with decisions, but subcommittee will coordinate presenters, schedule, location, etc.
5. A list of possible speakers was suggested.
6. Subcommittee co chairs are Kimball and Gliozzo
B. Survey Update
1. We have had 117 responses as of the meeting.
2. We will start to create usable data.
C. 209 Olds Hall
1. The room is good for the short run.
2. Suggestions were offered for computers and furniture.

A. Greenbaum had a discussion with the Acting Dean of Human Medicine Marsha Rappley about Faculty Emeriti involvement.
