New Tenure System Faculty Orientation

The Office of the Provost sponsors annual orientation programs to assist new faculty in learning more about the academic community at MSU. The orientation program provides an overview of the University, identifies expectations of the University community, and facilitates active involvement in faculty affairs.

Orientation for new tenure system faculty, Health Programs Faculty, College of Law Faculty, Continuing Systems Librarians, National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory Appointments and Executive Managers, will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2009.

A new orientation program for new fixed term faculty and academic staff will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2009.

There will also be additional technology workshops open to all new faculty and academic staff. Two workshops on technology at MSU will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 and on Thursday, August 20, 2009. Program participants are notified about the annual session by invitation only and receive registration materials in the mail. The list of invitees is generated from appointment actions entered into the Academic Human Resources database system.
